Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the NarrateNow service operated by NarrateNow (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
NarrateNow provides a text-to-speech service that converts blog articles into audio. The service includes a JavaScript embed that can be added to your website, an audio generation pipeline, audio hosting and delivery, and an optional podcast RSS feed.
2. Account Terms
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- One person or organization may not maintain more than one free account.
3. Content Ownership
You retain full ownership of your article content. By using NarrateNow, you grant us a limited license to access, process, and convert your article text into audio for the sole purpose of providing the service. Generated audio files are derived works created from your content. You may use, distribute, and embed these audio files as you see fit. We do not claim ownership of the generated audio.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use NarrateNow to:
- Convert content you do not have the right to publish or distribute
- Generate audio containing hate speech, threats, or illegal content
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the audio generation service itself
- Circumvent usage limits or abuse the service infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying text-to-speech models
5. API Usage
If you access NarrateNow through our API, you agree to respect rate limits and usage guidelines published in our documentation. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access if usage patterns indicate abuse or negatively impact other users.
6. Billing and Payment
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance.
- Prices are listed in US dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes.
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for recurring subscription fees.
- If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again. If payment is not received within 7 days, your account may be suspended.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ written notice.
7. Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the service until then.
- We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
- After cancellation, your audio files will remain available for 30 days. After that period, they will be permanently deleted.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control, including third-party service outages, network issues, or force majeure events.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NarrateNow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold NarrateNow harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice for material changes. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you may cancel your account.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
