Install NarrateNow

Adding audio to your site takes one script tag. Paste it into your page template once and every page gets an audio player automatically, with nothing to configure per post.

The snippet

Copy this into your site, just before the closing </body> tag:

Replace YOUR_SITE_ID with the site ID from your NarrateNow dashboard (create a site to get one). That is the whole integration: the widget detects the main content on each page and adds a player to it.

Platform guides

WordPress

Use a headers-and-footers plugin such as WPCode or “Insert Headers and Footers,” and paste the snippet into the footer section. If you edit your theme directly, add it before </body> in footer.php. (A native WordPress plugin is on the way.)

Ghost

Go to Settings → Code injection and paste the snippet into the Site Footer field.

Webflow

Open Project Settings → Custom Code, paste the snippet into the Footer Code field, and publish.

Squarespace

Go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection and paste the snippet into the Footer box.

Any other site

Paste the snippet before the closing </body> tag in your page template or layout. Anywhere the script loads on the page will work.

After you install

Open any page on your site and the player will be there. The first time a page is opened, NarrateNow generates the audio and caches it, so every visit after that loads instantly. If anything looks wrong, email [email protected].
